Job Summary Class Teacher

Responsibilities include planning and delivering age-appropriate lessons, fostering social and emotional development, maintaining classroom routines, and working closely with parents and colleagues. A qualification in early childhood education and prior experience with EYFS children is added advantage

Job Description


  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and learning activities aligned with early childhood development goals.
  • Create a warm, inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes a love for learning.
  • Foster social, emotional, and behavioral growth through positive reinforcement, structured routines, and clear expectations.
  • Assess and document childrens progress through observations and developmental checklists.
  • Communicate regularly and effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and classroom events.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized learning environment.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure consistent delivery of the curriculum and care standards.
  • Participate in school meetings, training, and professional development activities.
  • Adhere to the schools policies, child protection and safeguarding procedures, and health and safety regulations.

Requirements


  • A Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • Previous experience teaching or caring for preschool-aged children.
  • Knowledge of early years development frameworks e.g., EYFS or Montessori, if applicable.
  • Creative, patient, and enthusiastic about working with young children.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work as part of a team.
