Job Description


  • Monitor entrances and exits to prevent unauthorized access to school premises.
  • Conduct routine patrols around the school buildings, grounds, and perimeter.
  • Inspect visitors and issue passes while maintaining a visitor log.
  • Respond promptly to security breaches, alarms, or incidents and report them appropriately.
  • Ensure the safety of children, staff, and property during school hours and after hours.
  • Open and close gates or doors at scheduled times.
  • Work collaboratively with school staff and emergency services when needed.
  • Enforce school rules and maintain a peaceful environment within the premises.
  • Perform basic first response in case of emergencies until appropriate authorities arrive.

Requirements


  • Minimum of SSCE/GCE/WAEC
  • Prior experience in a security-related role school environment preferred
  • Physically fit and able to stand or patrol for extended periods
  • Basic knowledge of security operations and emergency procedures
  • Strong observational and communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm and act decisively in emergencies
  • Must be honest, trustworthy, and dependable
  • Relevant security training or license is an added advantage
  • Must be respectful and child-friendly
